Aaron Beck takes us through Thought Challenging in CBT

Changing mood through changing thoughts

I’ve talked a lot about one of the fundamental techniques in CBT, that of “Thought Challenging” or “Cognitive restructuring,” and hopefully you have been able to have a go in implementing the technique. In the video below, the “inventor” of CBT, Professor Aaron Beck, takes us through the process of change which we aim to achieve in using this technique.

Well worth a look.

You can find out more about Aaron Beck’s CBT from the following great books!
